General Position Summary:

AFC is searching for a Data Analyst with top notch quantitative skills. This individual will help AFC analyze internal financial, healthcare and marketing data to make sound business decisions. 

 

In this position, you will be responsible for improving the analytical capability and data intelligence of AFC's operations and marketing teams. The job scope can be broadly divided into 3 areas: revenue data/analytics, clinical data and marketing analytics. Our ideal candidate is someone who embraces the AFC Core Purpose and Values and has experience in all the relevant areas within the job's scope.

This individual needs to be voracious about healthcare, financial and market analytics and data. With healthcare and revenue, the goal is to improve the efficiency of our operations and decision-making and, consequently, improve the financial performance of the business. In the marketing arena, the goal is finding marketing opportunities to explore and exploit through digital and traditional channels. 

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  1. Understand the current organization of our core data in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), its “Analytics” module, and our accounting system; 
  2. Understand the current schema of data consumption in the organization - in the EMR, accounting system and in G Suite
  3. Work with key experts - internal & external - to come up with a “data architecture” for the company. This needs to take into account the future portals through which managers and decision makers will be looking for data and insights
  4. Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Sales to understand the key data analytics gaps in Marketing. Create a “Marketing data architecture” that is oriented towards portal based data and analytics consumption by key decision makers

Requirements:

  • Completed or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Highly creative with excellent analytical abilities. Some experience in an analytic role would be a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics. Some experience in a digital marketing or advertising position would be a plus
  • Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL.  Proficiency with Python for data manipulation would be a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools
  • Exposure or experience in Electronic Medical Records
  • Outstanding communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with occasional weekends and evenings 
  • In office collaboration is essential, so no remote work available
  • Offices are located in Tigard, Oregon

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities.
