General Position Summary:
The Marketing Assistant works directly with the Director of Sales & Marketing and supports the work of the Sales & Marketing department as well as executives on projects directed at maximizing company profits and developing sales strategies and marketing campaigns. The Marketing Assistant works closely with clinical teams in other functions, such as advertising, market research, sales, and promotion of targeting patient segments. 

In addition to the above, your duties will include analyzing, planning, implementing, and monitoring our digital marketing campaigns across all digital networks and platforms. Our ideal candidate is someone who embraces the AFC Core Purpose and Values and has demonstrated experience in social media. In addition to being an outstanding communicator, you will also display excellent organizational skills. 

This individual needs to be voracious about patient and market analytics and data with the goal of finding marketing opportunities to explore and exploit through digital and traditional channels.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in developing and monitoring campaign budgets.
  2. Plan social media strategies and manage the platforms (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).
  3. Post and/or prepare weekly and monthly blogs.
  4. Update the AFC Portland website
  5. Prepare accurate reports on our digital marketing campaign’s overall performance.
  6. Prepare reports and analysis related to company performance (visit type analysis, phone call volumes, social media reviews, etc.)
  7. Coordinate with advertising and media experts to improve digital marketing results.
  8. Identify the latest trends and technologies affecting our industry.
  9. Evaluate important metrics that affect our website traffic, service quotas, and target audience.
  10. Work with the teams - marketing and clinic managers - to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.
  11. Oversee and manage all contests, giveaways, and other digital projects.
  12. Produce corporate graphic design material as needed.
  13. Assist the Managing Partner and Controller on projects as needed or assigned by the Marketing Director


  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a digital marketing or marketing position.
  • Knowledge of various social media platforms
  • Organized and able to multitask
  • Possesses creative with analytical abilities.
  • Outstanding communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Basic competency in Graphic Design experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator).

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Job Conditions:

  • The work environment is a corporate office space but can occasionally require clinical visits and working indirectly with patients, payers, clinical staff, and providers.
  • Normal working hours are 8am-5:00pm weekdays with 1 hour lunch.
